Jury convicts Nicole Linton in deadly Windsor Hills crash
Jurors found Linton guilty on six counts of second-degree murder after a 2022 collision at La Brea and Slauson killed six people.

A Los Angeles County jury convicted Nicole Linton on six counts of second-degree murder October 2 for the 2022 Windsor Hills crash that killed six people, the Los Angeles Times reported. Jurors deliberated for about three hours before rejecting the defense argument that Linton lost control of her vehicle because of a seizure.
What it means locally
Prosecutors said Linton was driving 131 mph when her Mercedes entered the intersection of La Brea Avenue and Slauson Boulevard and struck multiple vehicles. The collision killed Nathesia Lewis, Lynette Noble, Asherey Ryan, Ryan’s 11-month-old son Alonzo Quintero, Ryan’s boyfriend Reynold Lester and Ryan’s unborn child. The defense argued that the crash was a tragic accident caused by a medical emergency; prosecutors contended Linton acted with implied malice by driving dangerously while aware of risks tied to her condition. Linton faces a possible life sentence at a hearing scheduled for December; no sentence has yet been imposed.
