Amazon delivery contractors to close in Culver City and South Gate
DLVR and Capstone Delivery filed permanent-closure notices affecting 166 workers, according to state WARN filings.

Two independent contractors that deliver Amazon packages in Los Angeles County plan to close permanently, affecting 166 workers, the Los Angeles Times reported October 2 from California WARN filings. Culver City-based DLVR said 60 workers will be laid off effective December 4, while Capstone Delivery in South Gate said 106 positions will end when it closes November 21.
What it means locally
DLVR filed its Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification on September 30; Capstone filed September 23. The notices establish the planned closures and job totals but do not state whether Amazon will replace the contractors or whether delivery operations at the associated facilities will continue under other companies. The Times said neither contractor’s owner responded to requests for comment. California’s Employment Development Department says covered employers generally must provide advance notice before a mass layoff or facility closure and publishes processed WARN reports.
