Trash and debris have again accumulated outside a home in the 600 block of Martel Avenue in Los Angeles' Fairfax District, according to ABC7. The latest conditions come about two and a half years after city crews removed more than seven tons of waste from outside the property.

Next hearing: October 16

City points to court process

The Los Angeles mayor's office told ABC7 that a criminal case involving the property owner remains ongoing and that the court is considering appointing a conservator. The office said it is urging the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health to support that appointment, which could provide a responsible party to prevent the property from deteriorating again.

ABC7 reported that AIR7 footage showed someone clearing trash from the property Thursday morning. The court has not yet made a final conservatorship decision.
