Thousands gather in West Hollywood for 42nd AIDS Walk Los Angeles
Thousands of participants filled West Hollywood Park on Sunday for a community fundraiser supporting HIV care, prevention and advocacy across Los Angeles.
The 42nd annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles brought together residents, advocates and entertainers under the theme “Defend Care, Demand Action.” ABC7 Los Angeles reported that actor-comedian Joel Kim Booster and singer David Archuleta joined the event.
Organizers honored actress and activist Michaela Jaé Rodriguez with APLA Health’s inaugural Voice of Visibility Award. APLA Health says the walk’s proceeds help fund HIV care, prevention and support services throughout Los Angeles.
